At the present time Sara offers a variety of online mindfulness based approaches.
Weekly 1 hour meditation and light reflection for people who have no experience in meditation. Each session will consist of a meditation lead by Sara and then a group sharing of any sensations, emotions or thoughts that cropped up for them whilst meditating. Also general discussion about mindfulness practice.
Weekly 1 hour meditation and reflection for people already experienced with the practice of meditation. The meditation will be led by Sara and the inquiry will be shared by the group within the mindfulness perspective. The inquiry allows participants to explore their sensations, emotions and thoughts in greater depth.
8 week MBSR (Mindfulness based stress reduction) course. This consists of 2 hours sessions every week plus home practice. This course supports the participant to develop their own personal meditation practice and how to use mindfulness to reduce stress and improve their wellbeing. The teaching of MBSR was established over 40 years ago by Jon Kabat – Zinn and the 8 week course has been rolled out since then throughout the world.
Sara has taught specific groups; such as colleges and people with persistent pain and will be very happy to set up an introduction of mindfulness or an 8 week course specifically for a group.
The biopsychosocial model for persistent pain is well known and recognised within the medical world.
Sara has a broad base of knowledge as a physiotherapist as well as a mindfulness teacher to support this group of patients who are so challenged by pain.

Group MindfulnessSara is a retired Chartered Physiotherapist working in private practice in Street, Somerset. She has worked in the field of complex pain for many years and gained a Psychology degree in 2016 which has allowed her to broaden her understanding of how people cope with pain and stress. More recently Sara has accomplished a masters degree in Mindfulness.
It seemed a natural progression then for Sara to embark on a master’s degree at Bangor University in Mindfulness. She is now finishing her third year of study and completing her teaching level 2.
She can now offer the 8 week MBSR (Mindfulness based stress reduction) course as well as introductory courses to the general public.
She feels she has a broad base of knowledge now, both medical and psychological, which offers her participants breadth in the subject of Mindfulness.
